Through the Burden of Hope Initiative, Oscar J. Dowdell-Underwood & Associates provides college scholarships and support systems that aid student transition, retention, and persistence in higher education institutions. It also actively campaigns to eradicate social conditions and infrastructures, such as poverty, violence, injustice, disenfranchisement, and racism that foreclose the opportunity for far too many to exercise their inherent power, need and desire to realize their God-given, human potential and positively impact society, that is, to fulfill their burden of hope.
